Kiama Coast Walk, Minnamurra to Kiama - 20kms

Ocean views, spectacular rock formations, unspoilt beaches. The Kiama Coast Walk has three sections, made up of a series of shorter walks/cycling paths from the mouth of the Minnamurra River south through Kiama to Gerringong’s Werri Beach. Offering a mix of sealed paths, grassed tracks and beach walking, the hills are gentle enough for most fitness levels. An unbroken ribbon of exploration stretching
approximately 20 kilometres. The walk can be broken into 3 sections we will be doing the full walk.

 

Details
The walk itself is a Grade 3-4 (moderate track) 20km trek. The trail offers a mix of sealed paths, grassed tracks and beach walking.
We will be stopping for morning tea, lunch and afternoon tea and a swim.

What you will need as well as a sense of adventure and fun
• Own breakfast
• Minimum 3L water
• Water bladder/water bottle(s)
• Rain gear (just in case)
• Extra layers – we will do a weather check and advise closer to the day
• Comfortable hiking shoes (tested and worn in)
• Light weight towel
• Personal medication/first aid (I will have a more extensive first aid kit)
• Head torch with spare batteries
• Optional/weather dependent – hiking poles, swimmers, sunscreen, hat, sunglasses, binoculars, camera
